A 55 inch screen is the sweet spot for most South African lounges. It is big enough to make Saturday rugby feel like an event, yet it still fits neatly on a standard TV unit without taking over the room. This Skyworth uses a QLED panel, which uses quantum dot technology to give richer colour than a basic LED screen.
The picture side is well covered for the price. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ lift the bright and dark parts of a scene, and 120Hz Turbo Motion keeps fast sport and gaming smoother. Dolby Atmos gives movies more depth than a basic TV speaker. There are three HDMI ports, one of them HDMI 2.1, so a decoder, a console and a soundbar can all stay plugged in, and Chromecast lets you send a video from your phone straight to the 55 inch screen.
Google TV brings your streaming services together on one home screen, so there is less hopping between apps to find the next episode. You can install the apps you already pay for, pick up where you left off, and set up profiles so the kids see their shows and you see yours. It is a good fit for a family that streams more than it watches regular broadcast channels, and for anyone moving up from an older, non-smart TV. Remember that a valid TV licence is required in South Africa. Your monthly payment covers the TV, and delivery is free.
Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa, and there is nothing to pay upfront.
Once your application is approved and your agreement is signed, we schedule your delivery straight away. You do not pay us to have the item shipped. Your first monthly instalment is collected by debit order on the agreed date set with our finance partners.
Normal delivery times: 2 to 4 working days for small items. 5 to 10 working days for appliances.
Our warehouse does not ship on weekends or public holidays.
We want you to be really happy with your rental. If a product arrives faulty or is not as described, we will repair it or replace it.
Manufacturing defects reported within 7 days of delivery are handled under our Returns Policy together with the manufacturer’s warranty. Accidental damage and liquid damage are not covered.
