Shipping & Delivery Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how EpicRentals (Pty) Ltd (“Epic Rentals”, “we”, “us”, “our”) delivers rental products ordered through https://epicrentals.co.za to customers in South Africa.
1. Delivery area
We deliver to all addresses within the borders of the Republic of South Africa. We do not currently deliver to addresses outside South Africa.
If your delivery address is in a remote rural area, on a farm, or outside a courier-serviced zone, our courier partner may contact you to arrange an alternative collection or drop-off point. We will always confirm with you before any change is made.
2. Delivery cost
Standard delivery is free of charge to all addresses within South Africa. There are no hidden delivery, handling, or freight fees on standard rental orders.
3. Delivery time frames
Once your rental application has been approved by our finance partner Digirent and your first payment has cleared, your order is dispatched within 1–2 business days.
Standard delivery takes 3 to 5 business working days from dispatch, depending on your address.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and South African public holidays. Delivery time frames may be longer during peak retail periods, load-shedding-related courier delays, or extreme weather events. We will keep you updated by email or SMS if this affects your order.
4. Tracking your delivery
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email or SMS with your courier tracking number and a link to track your shipment in real time.
5. Delivery requirements
You must:
- Provide a complete, accurate physical delivery address (street address — we cannot deliver to PO Boxes).
- Be available, or have an authorised adult (18+) available, to receive and sign for the parcel during normal business hours.
- Present a valid South African ID document or driver’s licence on delivery to confirm receipt.
If our courier is unable to deliver after two attempts because no one is available to receive the parcel, the parcel will be returned to our warehouse. We will contact you to arrange a re-delivery, which may incur a re-delivery fee charged at cost.
6. Inspection on delivery
You are required to inspect your rental product on delivery before signing.
If the packaging is visibly damaged or the product appears faulty, please refuse the delivery or note the damage on the courier’s delivery note and notify us immediately at rentals@epicrentals.co.za.
You have 7 days from the date of delivery to report any defects, faults, or missing items in writing. After this 7-day window, the device is deemed to have been received in good working order. Full details are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.
7. Installation
Installation of the rental product is not included in the delivery service. You are responsible for unpacking, setting up, and connecting the device. Where applicable, we can recommend a qualified installer at your request, at your own cost.
8. Risk and ownership
Risk in the product passes to you on delivery. Ownership of the product remains with EpicRentals (Pty) Ltd until the full purchase price has been settled in terms of your Rent2Buy agreement, including any final buyout payment at the end of the rental term.
9. Lost, damaged, or stolen parcels in transit
If your parcel is lost, damaged, or stolen in transit before you receive it, please notify us within 24 hours at rentals@epicrentals.co.za. We will lodge a claim with our courier partner and arrange a replacement or refund of any deposit paid, in line with our Returns & Refund Policy.
10. Faulty device returns
If we collect a faulty device from you within the 7-day defect-reporting window, Epic Rentals covers the cost of return collection. You will not be charged any courier or shipping fee.
11. End of rental term
Epic Rentals products are sold on a Rent2Buy basis. There is no end-of-term collection — at the end of your rental term, you settle your one-month buyout payment and full ownership of the device transfers to you. You do not need to return the device to us.
