The specs come first, because that is what decides whether this is the right machine for you. The Asus ROG Strix G16 Gaming Laptop puts an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor and GeForce RTX 5060 8GB graphics behind a 16 inch 240Hz display, with 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD. Those four numbers, processor, graphics, memory and screen refresh, are what separate a gaming laptop from a laptop with a gaming sticker, and this one has them. It plays current titles smoothly at native resolution, handles video editing and heavy multitasking, and still folds up to go to campus or the office. Windows 11 is installed and ready, and the cooling is built for long sessions rather than short bursts.
