Rentoza has been in business rescue since 1 July 2026. Here is what is public, what to do if you rent through them, what to check before you choose any rental provider, and how renting to keep works with us.

What is public about Rentoza’s business rescue
- Rentoza announced that it entered voluntary business rescue on 1 July 2026.
- Its board resolved on 11 June 2026 to place the company in business rescue under section 129 of the Companies Act.
- Mpoti Moalusi was named as the business rescue practitioner.
- A formal rescue plan was due to be published by 4 September 2026.
- The company said it would keep trading while the plan was drawn up.

If you rent through Rentoza now
Keep your agreement in good standing
Business rescue does not cancel an agreement by itself. Speak to the practitioner or an attorney before you stop paying anything.
Keep your paperwork
Your agreement, receipts, delivery note and any messages with the company. You may need them later.
Ask how your agreement will be treated
The practitioner's office can tell you. The rescue plan, once published, is where that is set out.
Owed a refund?
People owed money can usually lodge a claim as a creditor. Ask the practitioner's office how to do it.

Choosing a rental provider: seven things to check

Questions
Is Rentoza still trading?
Rentoza said it would keep trading while its rescue plan was drawn up. We are not Rentoza and cannot speak for them, so check their website and the practitioner's updates for the latest.
Can I move my Rentoza rental to Epic Rentals?
Not as a transfer. A rental with us is a new agreement with its own application and approval. We cannot take over, change or cancel an agreement you have with another company, so talk to them or the practitioner about that one.
Will I be approved?
Every application is assessed by our finance partner, using your ID, latest payslip, three months of bank statements and proof of residence. We usually come back to you within 24 hours. Approval is never guaranteed.
Is there a deposit?
Only on the 6-month term, where it is 25%. From 12 months there is no deposit.
Do I own it at the end?
At the end of your term you pay one final monthly payment to keep it, or you can upgrade.
