At 51 cm wide this 7kg front loader suits flats, townhouses and cottages where space is tight, and it is a comfortable size for one to three people. The inverter motor runs more quietly and uses power more carefully than an older style motor, and the A+++ energy rating means lower running costs over the years you use it.

There are 16 programmes to choose from on the dial, including Allergy Care for bedding, Baby Care for little ones' clothes and a Bedding cycle for duvet covers and sheets. The digital LED display shows the time left, and the child lock keeps small fingers from changing settings mid wash. Adjustable feet let you level it on an uneven floor so it stays steady on the spin. The dark grey and black finish looks smart in a kitchen. Register it online with Bennett Read and you get a three year warranty.
