This is the largest portable unit we rent and the only one that heats as well as cools, which makes it a year round machine rather than a summer one. At 14000 BTU it is rated for rooms up to 40 square metres, so it handles an open plan lounge or a large bedroom that a 9000 or 12000 BTU unit would struggle with. Because it is portable there is no installation and no hole in the wall, which matters if you are renting your home. The window kit is in the box.
Wi-Fi control through the free Taurus Connect app means you can start cooling the room before you get home, and it works with Alexa and Google Assistant if you already run either of those. It also pulls up to 31 litres of moisture out of the air a day, which is useful on the coast.
Epic Rentals delivers anywhere in South Africa at no charge, and you pay a set monthly amount over the term you choose, from 6 months to 60 months. Longer term, lower monthly. If you would rather have a fixed wall unit, the rest of the aircon range covers split systems too.
Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa, and there is nothing to pay upfront.
Once your application is approved and your agreement is signed, we schedule your delivery straight away. You do not pay us to have the item shipped. Your first monthly instalment is collected by debit order on the agreed date after delivery.
Normal delivery times: 2 to 4 working days for small items. 5 to 10 working days for appliances.
Our warehouse does not ship on weekends or public holidays.
We want you to be really happy with your rental. If a product arrives faulty or is not as described, we will repair it or replace it.
Manufacturing defects reported within 7 days of delivery are handled under our Returns Policy together with the manufacturer’s warranty. Accidental damage and liquid damage are not covered.
